Regular exercise is vital for maintaining a healthy weight. If you don’t get enough activity it’s all too easy to end up overweight, which ups your risk of developing diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and certain types of cancer. Exercise also has the added bonus of helping control stress levels – another major factor in poor health.
It boosts confidence
If you’ve ever felt shy or anxious about attending a social event, try getting active beforehand! When you exercise regularly your body releases ‘feel good’ chemicals called endorphins that create an overall feeling of wellbeing – improving your self-esteem as well as your physical health.
